01 — Product Overview

Overview

CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29). It carries four amino-acid substitutions that resist enzymatic degradation and a maleimidopropionic-acid group (the DAC) that binds covalently to circulating serum albumin. It is supplied as a stable lyophilized peptide.

The albumin conjugation is the key research feature: it greatly extends the peptide’s circulating half-life, so a single exposure can stimulate the GHRH receptor for days rather than minutes. In research it is used to study prolonged GHRH-receptor activation and its downstream effects on the GH/IGF-1 axis. It is offered strictly as a research material, and the study cited below describes clinical-pharmacology findings only.

02 — Mechanisms of Interest

Mechanisms of interest in research

GHRH-receptor agonism

Preclinical / in-vitro

CJC-1295 activates the growth-hormone-releasing hormone receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, the physiological trigger for GH synthesis and pulsatile release. Its GHRH-analog backbone reproduces this signalling while resisting the rapid breakdown that limits native GHRH.

Albumin binding and extended half-life

Preclinical / in-vitro

The DAC group forms a bond with serum albumin after administration, creating a long-lived circulating depot. This is studied as a means of sustaining GHRH-receptor stimulation and raising mean GH and IGF-1 levels over an extended period in model systems.

GH/IGF-1 axis output

Preclinical / in-vitro

By prolonging GHRH signalling, CJC-1295 is examined for its capacity to elevate GH and, downstream, IGF-1 across multiple days, a profile distinct from short-acting secretagogues.

04 — Selected Research

Selected Research

The following peer-reviewed studies are provided for scientific context on this compound’s research background. They describe preclinical and in-vitro findings only and are not claims about this product.

In healthy adults, single doses of CJC-1295 produced dose-dependent increases in mean plasma GH (2- to 10-fold for six days or more) and IGF-1 (1.5- to 3-fold for 9–11 days), with an estimated half-life of about 6–8 days.
